Basic prerequisites for a successfully expat marriage

  • The bride’s approval
  • To get married in Dubai, at least one party to the marriage contract (husband, wife, or wife’s guardian) must have a residency visa in the UAE

  • Birth certificate; original
  • copies of Emirates ID;
  • Certificates of pre-marriage medical tests;
  • A certificate of marital status specifies whether the certificate holder is unmarried, divorced, or widowed. An authenticated certificate of marital status must be Arabized or translated into Arabic.
